written by the founder of territorial seed company. everything you could ever want to know about growing food. steve's writing style is fun to read, even (or especially) when talking about dirt.great book for learning plant families. teaches you to recognize patterns and characteristics with beautiful illustrations.a novel focusing on a group of people as their lives entangle with the forest and each other. not perfect by any means but really beautiful writing.an easy read. follow paige along her journey learning about america's bees and all of the incredible things they do. excellent book for identifying and learning about oregon's fungi. small enough to take on a hike.a guide to notable portland trees, organized by neighborhood. go on a walk and see how the trees have changed since the first edition came out. my favorite tree guide, period. fantastic for identification and nice to just flip through as well.
